    At 35, Joe Mazzulla led the Boston Celtics to the 2024 NBA Championship, becoming the youngest head coach to win a title since Bill Russell. 

    Mazzulla’s coaching career began as an assistant at Glenville State and then at Fairmont State. He eventually became the head coach at Fairmont State in 2017, where he led the team to notable success, including an NCAA Division II tournament appearance.

    In 2019, Mazzulla made the jump from NCAA Division II to join the Boston Celtics organization as an assistant coach. His work ethic and basketball acumen quickly earned him recognition and he was appointed as the head coach of the Celtics in 2022.
